Emeraude Toubia

 Emeraude Toubia, born on March 1st, 1989 in Canada was an American model and actress. She played Isabelle Lightwood on Freeform's fantasy series Shadowhunters. Toubia was born in Montreal. As a single child, she was raised in Brownsville (Texas). Mirta Sonia (nee Solis), her mother, was born in Ciudad Victoria and raised by her father who was a Lebanese-American. Toubia's paternal grandparents were from Lebanon's Koura District. In 1999, Toubia was ten years old when she made her first television appearance in Televisa's El Mundo de los Ninos. In 2008, Toubia became well-known when she was selected to be part of the second season of Univision's beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. Here contestants were taught acting as well as dancing and presenting. Toubia was the first second place winner. She has been featured in commercials for companies like Garnier, J. C. Penney and Sony since then.
